Nisha Fernando holds a National Tourist Guide Licence issued by the Sri Lanka Tourist Board — one of the most rigorous certifications in the industry, requiring comprehensive knowledge of history, archaeology, ecology, and first aid. She has been guiding guests through Sri Lanka's most remarkable places for over eleven years.

Her specialty is wildlife and heritage: she knows Yala's leopard territories by name, can identify over 180 bird species by call alone, and brings the stories of Sri Lanka's ancient kingdoms alive with a clarity and warmth that guests consistently describe as transformative. Several of her guests have returned for second and third trips specifically to travel with her again.

As Head of Inbound Tourism at Oleen, Nisha also leads the design of all Sri Lanka itineraries, ensuring that every package reflects genuine local knowledge rather than a checklist of attractions. She is fluent in German, making her particularly in demand among European travellers.
